As you have seen over the last few days I have ramped up my posting here

I plan to make this website a free information hub for serious stock investors with a complementary paid community (Inner Circle). Earlier today I wanted to write a post (passive vs active funds), but I stopped myself. If my target audience is serious stock investors, posts about ETFs (or 100 reasons why to invest in stocks) just won’t cut it. I have to considerably up my game and laser focus on who my content is for. Thus, I came up with 5 simple rules for posting. If I can’t answer those questions positively, I won’t post it!

📑POST RULES

  1. Would someone pay to read this post?
Post needs to be of such value that someone would be prepared to pay for it, but they get it for free.

  2. Is the info easily accessible elsewhere?

The idea here is to share information that either takes time, effort or money to obtain.

  3. Is content simple and it makes sense?
I don’t want to share content that is full of technical jargon or mathematical equations. Information should be simple to understand and apply.

  4. Does it improve stock decision?

The information that I provide has to be actionable and applicable to stock decisions. This filters out meaningless posts and non-investing content.

  5. Does it attract serious stock investors?

The last filter is really the core of my focus - serious, long-term, stock investors. The content I’m providing is tailored for stock investors who value such knowledge and will apply it to their portfolio.

I also have some monetisation plans, which I’m not going to share in detail, but I will share my business model. As mentioned already, this newsletter is and will always be free. The idea is to provide information of immense value that subscribers will come back for and share with others. The upgrade, or the paid “service”, will be Inner Circle, a small community. As this starts filling up, I will add various features, but the core will always stay the same - a space for serious stock investors to meet, discuss and learn. Community will be limited to 100 members and have a minimum net-worth entry.

Over the last few weeks, I dabbled in streaming, but I’m cancelling this going forward. It’s time-consuming and let’s face it, serious stock investors are not watching Twitch and YouTube every night. The whole idea of stock investing is to be free to do what you want, when you want it, thus, tying yourself to a certain time period each day is the opposite of that. If I’m building a content machine, I want to build it on my own terms.

Lastly, this will be a big mountain to climb. Right now, I’m far away from serious stock investor. I have a day job and my portfolio is nothing to share publicly. But I have a destination and tons of grit to get there.

I’m excited for this journey and hopefully I'll see you somewhere on the way.

To my current 4 subscribers, thank you for reading my ramblings, LOL!
