👋 INTRO

Earlier today I wanted to write a post about the difference between passive and active funds. As I want putting together the outline, a thought crossed my mind. If my target audience is serious stock investors, posts about ETFs won’t cut it. There is an abundance of easily accessible information out there, meaning I have to step up my game and up the quality of content.

To ensure my future posts are top-notch, I came up with five simple rules for posting. If I can’t answer those questions positively, I’m not posting it.

📑 POST RULES

1️⃣ Would someone pay to read this post?
Post needs to be of such value that someone would be prepared to pay for it, but they get it for free.

2️⃣ Is the info easily accessible elsewhere?
The idea here is to share information that either takes time, effort or money to obtain.

3️⃣ Is content simple and it makes sense?
I don’t want to share content that is full of technical jargon or mathematical equations. Information should be simple to understand and apply.

4️⃣ Does it improve portfolio decisions?
The information that I provide has to be actionable and applicable to stock portfolio decisions. This filters out meaningless posts and non-investing content.

5️⃣ Does it attract serious stock investors?
The last filter is really the core of my focus - serious, long-term, stock investors. The content I’m providing is tailored for stock investors who value such knowledge and will apply it to their portfolio.
